Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' W ' introduce the tale of how Queen Isabelle and Roger Mortimer become unpopular in England, and how the traitor Robert of Holland is killed. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

Quene. Js(abel). and sire Henry erl of Lancastre and of Leicestr(e) and of þe ridinge of Bedeforde .Cap(o) CC(mo). xviij(o). Whanne þe forsaide Dauid had spoused Dame Johne of þe Tour in þe toun of Berwik as bifore is saide: þe. Scottes in despite of þe Englissh men callede Dame Johne þe Countesse makepees for þe cowardise pees for to ordeigne but þe kinges p(er)sone bare þe wite and þe blame w(t) wronge of þe makinge of þe acorde: and al was done þorugh þ(e) quene and Roger. þe Mortymer // And it w(a)s nouȝt longe aft(er) þat þ(e) quene Jsabelle. ne toke in to hire owene hande al þe lordship of Pountfret. and almost alle þe landes þ(t) were of value þat p(er)teynede vnto þ(e) croune of Engelonde: so þ(t) þe king had nought forto despende but of his vsues and of his es- chquier. for þe quene.
