Description: 
There are tears in the vellum in the middle of the folio which appear to have been stitched and come apart again. The words 'Edward 2' are written in the top margin. The tale of how Merlyn's prophecies about Queen Isabelle and her son Sir Edward invading Britain were true. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

abide boþ(e) til a time þ(t) þey shulde cloþen ham w(t) g(ra)ce and þo .ij. owles. she shulde seke and pulte ham vnto spitous deþ: and þat p(ro)phecie was wel knowe and was ful soth for S(ir) Hughe þe Spenser þe fader and S(ire) Hugh þ(e) sone dede muche sorwe and p(er)secucioun vnto þe Quene .Is(abel). thorugh hir p(ro)curement to hire lord þe king and so þey ordeignede a mong(es) ham þat she was pult vnto hire wages . þ(t) is to say .xx(s). in þe day: wherfore þe king of Fr(ra)unce hire brother was wonder sore annoyede and sente in to Engelond by his l(et)res vnto king Edward þ(t) he shulde come to his p(ar)le ment to Parys in F(ra)unce : but king Edward was sore a- drad forto come þ(er)e for he wende to ben areste til þ(t) he had made good for þe trespasse þ(t) þe Spensers had done and also g(re)t harme þ(t) þey had done vnto þe Quene .Is(abel). his suster. Wherfore þorugh hire ordinaunce and hire consent of þe Spensers . þe Quene .Is(abel). wente ou(er) see in to F(ra)unc(e) for to make accord bituene king Edward and þe king of F(ra)unc(e) hire broþ(er) // And þ(er)e dwelled she in F(ra)unce til Edward hire eldest sone come hire to seche and so þey duellede þ(er)e boþ(e) til þ(t) aliaunce was made bituen ham and þe gentil erl of Henaude. þat ȝif þey w(t) hire helpe myghte destroye and ou(er)come þe venyme and þe falsnesse of þ(e) Spensers. that S(ir) Edward shulde spouse dame Philipp þe worshipful lady and þ(e) Erles doughter of Henaude // Wherfore þe Quene .Is(abel). and S(ir) Edwarde hir sone and S(ir) Edmund of Wodestoke þe kinges broþ(er) of Enge- londe & S(ir) Joh(a)n of Henaude and S(ir) Rog(er) Mortim(er) of Wyge- more and S(ir) Thom(a)s Rocelyn. and S(ir) Joh(a)n of Cromwell and S(ir) Will(ia)m Trussell and many oþ(er)e of þe aliaunce of gentil Erl Thom(a)s of Lancastr(e) þ(t) were exilede out of Enge londe for his querell and were desheritede of hire landes ordeigned ham a gret poer and arryuede at Herwiche in Southfolc : and sone aftirward þey pursuede þ(e) Spens(er)s til þ(t) þey were taken and pulte in to spitous deþ as bifor(e)
