abide boþ(e) til a time þ(t) þey shulde cloþen ham w(t) g(ra)ce and þo .ij. owles. she shulde seke and pulte ham vnto spitous deþ: and þat p(ro)phecie was wel knowe and was ful soth for S(ir) Hughe þe Spenser þe fader and S(ire) Hugh þ(e) sone dede muche sorwe and p(er)secucioun vnto þe Quene .Is(abel). thorugh hir p(ro)curement to hire lord þe king and so þey ordeignede a mong(es) ham þat she was pult vnto hire wages . þ(t) is to say .xx(s). in þe day: wherfore þe king of Fr(ra)unce hire brother was wonder sore annoyede and sente in to Engelond by his l(et)res vnto king Edward þ(t) he shulde come to his p(ar)le ment to Parys in F(ra)unce : but king Edward was sore a- drad forto come þ(er)e for he wende to ben areste til þ(t) he had made good for þe trespasse þ(t) þe Spensers had done and also g(re)t harme þ(t) þey had done vnto þe Quene .Is(abel). his suster.
