Description:
Map: Reigate, one of the thireen and one half hundreds of Surrey. Monochrome map with place names and rivers marked on. Wooded areas, buildings, fields and viewpoints are indicated by simple drawings and shading. Bottom centre is a scale bar showing: 'Scale of Chains'. The map has a simple line border with an additional neatline and the title is contained within a simple oval shaped cartouche. Bottom centre of the map is an ancient oak tree, the 'County Oak', which marked the traditional boundary of Surrey and Sussex. Bottom right is printed: 'V. Woodthorpe, sculp. 27 Fetter Lane, London'.
