Description: 
Map: Middlesex and Hertfordshire. Highly coloured map with very rich detail including place names and rivers. Woods and buildings are illustrated in colour. Borders are marked in different colours. The title is presented in Latin, top left in a large colourful cartouche decorated with farming figures. Bottom centre is a scale decorated with farming figures and marked: 'Quatuor, Milliaria, Anglica, conficiunt unum, milliare Germanicum'. Septentrio, Meridies, Oriens, Occidens (Latin for North, South, East and West) are printed around the edges. Top left is a large coat of arms and bottom right are two shields and one blank. The arms are those of Roger Earl of Clare and Harford, and Edward Seimour Earl of Hartford. Beneath to the left of this is: 'Anstelodami apud Joannem Jansomium'.
