Description: 
Eighth of 14 digital sections: An atlas of the Tokaido highway between Edo (Tokyo) and Osaka, compiled by the cartographer Ochikochi Doinby the painter Hishikawa Moronobu; woodblock-printed dochuzu or "on-the-road-maps" with great pictorial elaboration with elements of a guidebook. The map was first drawn in1690, but this copy is a later reprint. Accordion folded - 27 openings, cover attached; in Japanese, cover title same as map.
