|
Print 112: Double Bay, near Sydney, N.S.W., from Point Piper. Jevons has identified the houses belonging to Cooper, Miller and Trickett. The photograph is in a collection of photographs of Australia, taken or compiled by William Stanley Jevons during the 1850s. Between 1854-1859 Jevons was employed as assayer at the Sydney mint and also carried out detailed social surveys of the city's slums.
