Five dated photographs. Print 38: Coining Department of the Sydney Royal Mint; Print 39: Royal Lapper and Miner; Print 40: Assay Apparatus S.R.M. (Sydney Royal Mint) Solution Process; Print 41: M.D.; Print 42: Dog. The photographs are in a collection of photographs of Australia, taken or compiled by William Stanley Jevons during the 1850s. Between 1854-1859 Jevons was employed as assayer at the Sydney mint and also carried out detailed social surveys of the city's slums.
