Description:
Silhouette of a pastoral scene. A young boy is seen leaning against a tree while playing a musical instrument. A small child is tempting a dog with a morsel of food, so the dog is balancing on it's hind legs. The next figure is a woman, kneeling in front of a fire brazier cooking. She is wearing a pointy hat. The fire brazier has a cauldron shaped pot hanging from a [wooden] support over it. A second woman is approaching the fire, she is carrying a small child on her shoulders and a small basket in her hand. The final figure is a young girl with a sheaf of corn balancing on her head, she is also carrying a small basket in her hand. Printing underneath the image states Published by Edwd. Orme, Bond Street, Jany. 1.1808
