Reports that Mr Henry Legh has intimated that leading opponents of the scheme "want vastly to have your Ladyship at their head", and "If therefore your Ladyship should determine to oppose it might be of great Consequence if your Intentions were made public & as speedily as possible sent into Cheshire".
