Description:
Entitled "Totals Rec'd & Disbursed Yearly of my Estate", the table is divided into 4 sections, for the parishes of Bowdon, Wilmslow, Mottram [in Longdendale] and Ashton [under Lyne co. Lancs]. For each parish figures are given for total receipts, disbursements, "clear" [balance], and "leasing", for each year from 1759 to 1765.Notes show that receipts include heriots, bark and timber sales; disbursements include rent, land tax, agents' wages, repairs to buildings and water-banks, improvements and marling; the clear balance is the sum arrived at by deducting disbursements from receipts; figures for "leasing" vary widely from one year to another, and they probably do not include entry fines. Note: "I have made Purchases to these Estates which cost me £2503 10s 0d". Written in the hand of Mary Countess of Stamford.Endorsed: "Yearly Totals For 7 years ending with 1765".
