Description:
First floor plan of the Owens College, Manchester (the John Owens building was completed in 1873) outlining the set of buildings that make up the Old Quadrangle were finished in 1902. The scale of the plan showing interior building layouts means that the room names provide a fascinating glimpse into the range of activities, largely related to the teaching of science, engineering and medicine, which were being undertaken at the College at that time.
