Bellot bookplate on the inside front board of a volume of letters. The bookplate contains the Bellot coat-of arms of an engrailed shield, per fess, the upper half gules (red) containing three white cinquefoils (per fess), and the lower half white. Above the shield a gauntley clutching a scroll. Under the shield is the Bellot family motto "Toujours Bellot". William Henry Bellot was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Staff Surgeon in the 1st Royal Cheshire Militia.
