Description:
|
Double page opening from 'Some account of London'. The text talks about Cheapside in the east of the city, and how many noble families in England can trace their roots back to the area. The text is accompanied by illustrations of Sir Christopher Wren, 1632-1723, who designed the church of St. Mary le Bow, and a young merchant. On the facing page there is an illustration of the west prospect of the church and steeple of St. Mary le Bow.
