Description:
Double page opening from 'Some account of London'. The text discusses the history of various London landmarks, including Scotland Yard and the Eleanor Cross at Charing Cross. On the facing page there is a folded-out engraving of Scotland Yard, also showing part of the Banqueting House. The engraving was done by Edward Rooker, 1712?-1774, from a drawing by Paul Sandby, 1731-1809.
