Double page opening from 'Some account of London'. The text divulges ludicrous anecdotes regarding Elizabeth I, Queen of England, 1533-1603. The text is accompanied by an illustration of a jousting tournament. On the facing page there is a full page engraving by Charles Turner, 1774-1857, of Elizabeth I, from a print by Crispijn De Passe, ca. 1565-1637 from a portrait by Isaac Oliver, 1556?-1617.
