Description:
|
In the first part of the work the margins are filled with glosses dealing with the linguistic problems of the text. The first three leaves of the text is full of such glosses. Notes on the reverse of the first leaf, in the scribe's hand, show that this is a codex of importance. The colophon gives the name of the copyist and the date of manuscript., 1033/1623. Script is a clear Naskhi and the text is profusely vocalised. The headings kitāb and bāb are written in thick black characters, often overlined in red in the first part of the manuscript. The title has been written on the fly-leaf by Col. Hamilton's cataloguer. Script is a clear Naskhi and there are twenty nine lines to the page.
