Responding to accusations being made in the press about the Lyon authorities perpetuating a system of Terror, and also rejecting more general claims about the state of unrest within the city. The session dates to 5 brumaire V (26 October 1796). Item also includes a copy of an offending letter in the press: Copie de la lettres des patriotes de Lyon, au Directoire exécutif [dated: Lyon, 20 Vendémiaire an V]. Item also includes a copy of a letter written to the local representative of the executive, rejecting a range of claims being made about the extent of unrest within Lyon.
