Lent 1908 edition of Yggdrasill; created by the students of Ashburne House. The cover has the title and date of the edition framed by four monochrome watercolour illustrations. The Editorial appears on folio one, welcoming a new Warden, Miss Sheavyn and Sub-Warden, Hilda Johnstone along with the new students. Thanks are extended to the former Warden Miss Oakeley who has contributed to this edition. The articles begin on folio two with 'The Chronicle' submitted by Miss Sheavyn. Opposite on folio three is a poem 'Little Feet of Two Year's Old' which is initialled H.D.O (Miss Oakeley, former Warden). Overleaf on the verso is the item 'Hockey Notes' reporting on games from November 1908. On folio five is the article 'Trials of a Fresher' which has been illustrated with tipped-in coloured sketches. There follows a lengthy article 'Clun & a Poet' on Clun, Shropshire which incorporates a discussion of the poetry of A.E Housman. The essay signed H.J., runs from the verso of folio five and is illustrated with picture postcards. Directly underneath on the verso of folio eight begins 'A Home from Home' and on the verso of folio nine an essay on 'Nature & Man'. At the bottom of folio ten begins a list of the present Ashburnians which concludes on the verso.
