22 December 1645: Embleden castle is taken by Major General Laugharne. 24 December 1645: a parliamentary party from Fulford House fell upon the enemy and take prisoners and horses. 26 December 1645: prisoners, horses and arms are captured from the enemy. John Okey is shot at but was unharmed.
