Certificate of James Bower Harrison acknowledging completion of two courses on Midwifery and the diseases of women and children run between October 1834 and May 1836. The certificate is signed by Thomas Radford and James E. Partington. Above the written portion of the certificate appears a printed image of two classical male figures on either side of a shield with the motto ' Vires Aquirit Eundo' underneath them. The word 'midwifery' written in pencil appears in the bottom right hand corner of the certificate.
