Description:
View of St Mary's Church, Hulme, Manchester. The church is built from coursed sandstone rubble with a slate roof in the Gothic Revival style by J. S. Crowther. Built between 1853 and 1858 the windows all have pointed arches and decorative stone tracery; a gabled porch sits over the main doorway. The most prominent feature is the towering spire, which is 241 feet high, making it the 18th tallest church in the United Kingdom. A wall with railings on top runs along the front of the church.
