Description:
|
View of the High Tor at Matlock Bath. The buildings at the foot of the Tor are Matlock Bath railway station. The station was opened in 1849 and has unusual 'chalet' style architecture, inspired perhaps by Lord Byron's comparison of Matlock Bath with alpine Switzerland, leading to a nickname of Little Switzerland.
