Letter from A.S. Eddington relating to the appointment of Adamson Lecturers. The Adamson Lecture was established in 1903 in memory of Robert Adamson, professor of philosophy at Owens College, 1876-1893. The lecture was delivered in this period by Arthur Eddington in 1928, Professor H. J. C. Grierson in 1930, Sir D'Arcy Thompson in 1938, C. Maurice Bowra in 1947, and Professor Brand Blanshard in 1953.
