Description:
Lapworth Laboratories exterior (since demolished). Taken from a slightly elevated position (possibly the Dixon lab) looking south across the roof of the laboratories to the Library beyond. In the background can be seen the ongoing construction work on the first extension to the University Library whose progressive enlargement finally swallowed the site on which the labs had previously stood when the 1980s extension was added.
