Arnold Hartley Gibson, 1878-1959. A photograph of Dr Gibson sitting by a desk reading some notes. A.H. Gibson was Professor of Engineering at the University of Manchester 1920-1949. On the reverse of the image there is an attached label which reads 'The University of Manchester Professor Gibson (Engineering)' and written beneath this 'Expert in Hydraulics' and the date 'Nov 1944'.
