Tom G Warburton; Pictured making adjustments to the architectural model of the proposed developments to the UMIST campus that were to take place in the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s. Pictured behind, and largely obscured by him, is a board listing the proposed developments of areas A, B and C of the campus with the individual floor areas, site acreage and years of completion given in columns besides the projects. Tom Warburton was a senior technician in the department of building at UMIST and was responsible for a series of photographs taken in the period of the southern expansion of the campus showing many of the sites as they were before the new college buildings were erected.
