Taken from the eastern end of the hall the shot is angled towards the western entrance and shows a polished black and white tiled floor on which two rows of square cut stone pillars stand. These are interspersed with carved marble statues of a classical style which run the length of the room on either side of a wide central aisle then beyond them set into the northern and southern walls are ornate windows containing stained glass panels. At the far end of the hall behind a particularly large depiction of a winged figure are the doorways that lead onto the cross corridor which runs the length of the western wing of the building and lying beyond that opposite to and mirroring the entrance to the sculpture hall is the main access point from the building onto Sackville Street.
