Description:
Shakespeare Inn exterior (since demolished). Shot from Russell Street (?) looking north west towards the junction of Sackville Street where the pub stood on the north east corner. On the opposite corner fixed to the side wall of a three storey brick building can be seen the sign for Sackville Street and above this a notice which reads “Luxram electric Ltd”. The site is now roughly along the route that the Mancunian way follows and the buildings and Russell Street itself are no longer in existence. On the reverse of the image is a printed number “42”.
