Description:
Oxford Road; shot from ground level in the centre of the road looking south from and on a level with where the MMU All Saints building now stands. In the distance can be seen the Tower at the entrance to Manchester University. The buildings shown on the west side Oxford Road in the image have since been demolished to make way for various MMU buildings but most of those on the eastern side are still standing though their uses have in many cases altered (The Grosvenor cinema is now the Footage and Firkin pub).
