One sheet letter from Emmeline Pankhurst to Charles Prestwich Scott referring to the prison sentences of Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence, suffragette, and Charlotte Despard, socialist reformer, for leading a deputation to the House of Commons. They were sentenced to two months and one month, respectively. She thinks that Mrs. Lawrence’s sentence should be reduced. She has concerns about her health and hears that she is now in hospital. Would he be able to help? The letter is on headed paper from the National Women's Social and Political Union
