A money-loaner's itemized list. The date is mentioned in full at the top: Blessed Thursday, 19 al-Hijja, the year 1253. (but when converting this date, we reach at Friday, rather than Thursday, 16 March 1838 CE). At least three are mentioned as giving a pawn in exchange for money: on the right side of the sheet appear the details of 'Aisha bint Muhammad ('Aisha, the daughter of Muhammad) the inhabitant of Tukh al-Maliq, who lives in Bulaq. (these last two are districts in Egypt). A golden nose-ring and a silver anklet are mentioned as her pawn for the sum of 500 (piaster?). On the left side appear the details of al-Shaykh Ibrahim Sha'ban and below them the details of Saleh Hanaba(?) who gave a couple of bracelets as a pawn.
