Homiliarius, eighth-ninth century Latin manuscript bound in wooden boards, covered and edged with metal. The back has fragments of old red leather, with remains of early stamps. There is a metal clasp engraved with the word Maria in gothic letters on a hatched ground. Front cover composed of metal plates, some enameled some engraved. 27 lines to a page; Illustrated; in a fine upright hand, rather narrow and pointed. Written in Flanders. From Dinant on the Meuse.
