Description:
Vellum roll depicting a chronological history from the creation to 15th century France. It contains 65 painted medallions. The medallions in this frame show the creation of waters and fish (2), the creation of beasts and birds (3), the creation of the angels (4), the fall from Grace of the angels (5), the creation of Adam and Eve (6), the temptation of Adam and Eve by the serpent (7), God with Adam and Eve beside the tree (8), their expulsion from Eden (9), and Adam planting a branch of the apple tree that Even took when she bit into the apple (10). The first medallian of the 'creation of plants and trees' is almost entirely missing.
