Description:
Alchemica, with a stamped leather binding over wooden boards, ornamented with five bosses and two metal clasps. Each treatise is introduced with a decorated and illuminated initial, there is red rubrication and pen-flourished initials throughout. The text comprises 38 lines of script to a page in good Italian hands. Towards the end of the codex there are drawings, diagrams and tables; also a volvelle of nine layers.
