Canticles; hymns of St. Ambrose. The verses are in two columns of 31 lines, in black Carolingian minuscule with titles in red uncials. The initial letter of each verse is capitalised and infilled with colour. Incipit: 'Hymn. Cantic. Ambrosi Epi. hymnus domc nocte ad nocturnam'. The verses of the first begin 'Primo dierum', the large initial 'P' filled with interlace and with acanthus terminations. Hymnus post Evangelium: 'Te decet laus'; hymnus in matutinis laudibus: 'Aeterne rerum'.
