Description:
Vellum roll on mounted cloth. The subject is the Tree of Salvation, and the sequence runs from the bottom to top of the tree. This section of the Tree of Salvation has suffered considerable damage and is not complete. On the left a damaged section (circular) has been placed. This section contains medallions depicting various scenes including the Jews stoning Jesus and David being drive from Jerusalem. (19) To the right of the central stem are two medallions: (c) Christ at Bethany with Martha and Mary, and (d) Jacob with Leah and Rachel. (20) In the central stem of the tree the ancestor is missing. To the right of the central stem are two medallions: (c) the call of the seventy-two disciples, and (d) Moses appoints seventy elders. (21) In the central stem of the tree the ancestor is missing. To the right of the central stem are two medallions: (c) Peter walking on the sea, and (d) the dove returning to the Ark.
