The story of the second Scottish war of independence; Edward Balliol escapes an assassination attempt and flees to Carlisle from where he appeals to Edward III for assistance. Together the two kings beseige the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. The script is mainly secretary. Illegible ink annotations in another hand at the foot of the folio.
