The words ' Edward 3 ' appear in the top margin. The tale of how Edward Baliol and his men sail to Scotland and defeat the Earl of Fife. There are some words which are scored through in red ink and dotted underneath because the scribe duplicated them. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

þe Scottis þat y and alle þo lordes þ(t) holde(~) w(t) Bailloil. ben for eu(er)more pulte out of oure renteȝ þ(t) we haueþ in Engelond // And þe king vppon þis couenaunt g(ra)untede hire bone as tou chinge him and þo þat were of þe same querell þe whiche claymede to haue landeȝ or renteȝ in þe reaume of Scotlande And þese were þe names of þe same lords þat pursued þis matiere þ(t) is to sein S(ir) Edwarde þe Bailloil þ(t) chalaungede þ(e) reaume of Scotlonde S(ir) Henry Beaumonde erl of Angos S(ire) Dauid of Stroboly erl of Atheles S(ire) Geffr(e) of Mounb(ra)y Walt(er) Comyn and manye oþere þ(t) were pulte out of hire heritage in Scotlande whanne þe pees was made bituene Englond and Scotland as bifore is saide // And ȝe shullet vnd(er)stonde þat þese lords nomen wiþ ham. v.
