The tale of how the young King Edward III takes advice from the Lords and Earls about the problems the country is having with Queen Isabelle and Roger Mortimer, who are spending money from the public purse to their own advantage, and wrongfully taking land. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

Engelonde. and also for diu(er)se wronges þ(t) were done amonge þe co(~)mune peple of which þe king bar þe blame w(t) wronge. for he nas but ful ȝonge and tendre of age and þoughte as a good man for to don a way an slake þe sclaundre of þ(e) kinges p(er)sone yif þ(t) he myghte in eny manere wise: so þat þe king was þ(er)of no þing gulty wherfore he was in p(er)ile of lif and of lyme. // And so he assemblede al his reteignaunceȝ and wente and spak vnto ham of þe kingeȝ hono(ur) / and also for to amende his estat and S(ire) Thom(a)s of Broþ(er)tone. erl Mareschal and S(ire) Edmund of wodestoke þat were þe kinges vncleȝ and also men of londou(~) maden hire oth him for to mayntene in þ(t) same querell // And hire cause was þis þ(t) þe king shulde holde his housholde and his maynye as p(er)teynede vnto a king for to done and haue also his realte: and þ(t) þe Quene .Js(abel). shulde delyu(er)e out of hire honde in to þe kinges honde alle man(er)e lordshipeȝ.
