The words 'Edward 2' are written in the top margin. The letters ' MS C' are witten faintly in the right margin. The tale of how Queen Isabelle and the exiled knights in France plan to marry Sir Edward her son with the daughter of the Earl of Henaud. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' W ' introduce the tale of how King Edward and the Spencers hear of the allegiance between the Earl of Henaud and Queen Isabelle. Line 24 contains a scribal error, 'þough' instead of 'þorugh'. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

Is(abel). and S(ire) Edward hire sone were wonder sore adrad of the kinges manace and of his wraþ and p(ri)ncipally þe falsnesse of þe Spens(er)s boþe of þe fader and of þe sone: and at his com(~)aundement þey wolde nought come wher- fore king Edward was ful sore annoyed and lete make a c(ri)e at Londou(~) þat ȝif quene. Is(abel). and Edward hir(e) sone co- me nouȝt in to Engelond þ(t) þey shulde be holden as enemys boþ(e) to þe reaume and to þe croune. and for þ(t) þey wolde noȝt come in to Engelond but boþe were exilede þe moder and hire sone // Whenne þe Quene.
