The words 'Edward 2' are written in the top margin. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' A ' introduce the tale of the miracle of the blind priest, who prayed to St Thomas of Lancaster the martyr, and whose sight was restored. The tales of many other miracles. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

day of Octobr(e) in þe ȝere of g(ra)ce a þousand .iij(C). xxij. ȝere and þe sonne þo turnede in to blood as þe peple it saw and þat durede fro þe morne til it was .xj at þe clokke of þe day Of þ(e) miracles þ(t) god wroughte for sent Thom(a)s loue of Lancastr(e) wherfore þ(e) king lete close þ(e) chirche dores of Pountfret þe p(ri)orie for no ma(~) shulde come þ(er)inne to þ(e) body for to offr(e). C(o) CC(mo). p(ri)mo And sone after þat þe goode Erl Thom(a)s of Lancastr(e) was martred a p(re)st þ(t) long time had ben blynd dremede in his slepynge þat he shulde gon vnto þe hulle þ(er) þat þe good Erl Thom(a)s of Lancastr(e) was done vnto þe deth and he shulde haue his sighte aȝen. and so he dremede in .iij. nyghtes sewyn- ge and þe p(re)st þo lete lede him to þe same hulle // And whan he come to þat place þat he was martred on deuoutely he made þ(er)e his p(re)yers and prayede god & sent Thom(a)s þ(t) he moste haue his sighte aȝen and as he was in his p(ra)yers he lay de his right hand oppon þe same place þ(t) þ(e) good man was martred: and a drop of drie blood and smal sande cleuede on his hand and þ(er)with he strikede his eyen: and anon þorugh þe myght of god and of sent Thom(a)s of Lancastr(e) he had his sight aȝen and þankede þo almighty god and sent Thom(a)s // An whanne þis miracle was kud among men þe peple come þider on eu(er)y side and knelede & made hir(e) prayers at his tombe þ(t) is in þe P(ri)orie of Pounfret and p(ra)yede þat holy martir of socour and of helpe and god herde hire p(ra)yer // Also þ(er)e was a ȝong child drenchede in a welle in þe toun of Pountfret and was dede .iij. dayes and .iij. nyghtes and men comen & laide þe dede child oppon sent Thom(a)s Tombe þe holy mart(re) and þe child arros þ(er)e fram deth to lyf as many a man it sawe and also muche peple were out of his myn de: and god haþ sente ham here mynde a ȝen þorugh vertue of þ(t) holy mart(re) // And also god hath ȝeven þ(er)e to crepeles here goyng. and to crokede hire handes and hire feet. and to blynde also hire sighte and to menye sike folc hire hele þ(t) hadde diu(er)- se maladies for þ(e) loue of his good mart(re) // Also þ(er)e was a riche
