The words ' Edward 2 ' are written in the top margin. The tale of how the Lords object to the destruction being wreaked by the Spensers, and how they destroy their land in Wales. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' W ' introduce the tale of how the Lords continue to rebel against the King and the Spensers, and how the King summons them to Parliament. Scribal error l. 27 ' wer ' instead of ' wel '. Also l. 31, caret brackets and ' as ' at the end of a line has been added by a later hand to indicate the missing letter ' s ' in ' was '. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

and þorugh suche doynge: þey disheritede many a good ba chiler and so manye landes getten. þ(t) it was muche wonder // And whanne þe lordes of Engelonde sawgh þe grete couey- tyse and þe falsnesse of S(ir) Hughe þe Spenser his fader and of S(ir) Hughe þe sone: þey comen to þe gentil erl of La(~)castr(e) and axede him of counceile of þe dissese þat was in þe reau- me þorugh S(ir) Hugh þe Spenser and his sone and in haste by on assente þey made a p(ri)uee assemble at Shirbo(ur)ne in El- mede: and alle þey made þ(er)e an oth for to breke and destour ble þe doynge bituene þe king and S(ir) Hughe þe Spenser & his sone vppon hire poer: and þey wente in to þe march of Walys and destroiede þe lande of the forsaide S(ir) Hughes.
