The words ' Edward I ' are written in the top margin. The tale of the death of Sir John, Earl of Atheles (Athol). Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' W ' introduce the tale of the death of John, William Wallace's brother. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' A ' introduce the tale of how Robert the Bruce fled to Norway. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial ' W ' introduce the tale of the death of King Edward I. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.
