loue. wherfore þe king couþe him muche þanke and ful glad was of his comynge // And þe fals þef traitour fro þat day aspiede al þe doynge of þe king and also his councele. for þe king louede him wel and was with him ful pryuee // But a clerk of Engelond þat was in þe king(es) hous of ff(ra)unce herde of þis tresoun and of þe falsnesse and wrote to anoþ(er) clerk þ(t) was dwellyng w(t) þe king of Engelond al how Thomas Tourbeluyle. had done his false coniectinge and al þe counceil of Engelonde was write for to haue sente vnto þe king of ff(ra)unce and þorugh þe forsaide l(et)re þat þe clerk had sent fro ff(ra)unce it was founde vppon him. wherfore he was lad to Londou(~) and drawen and hongede þere for his tresoun(~) and his .ij. sones. þat he had pulte in to ff(ra)unce. for hostageȝ were þo biheuedede.
