Description:
The word 'John' is written in the top margin of the folio, and there is a small hole in the vellum. The tale of how Pandolf, the Pope's legate, deliver's the Pope's message to King John, that England has been excommunicated. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

Barouns or knyghtes or eny oþ(er)e what so eu(er)e þat þey ben we ham assoile salfly vnto þis day and fro þis time afterward of what condicioun eu(er)e þat þey be we ham accurse þat wiþ ȝow co(~)munen and so do we sentence on ham openly and specialy // And we assoile quytly. Erles.
