The words 'William 2' appear in the top margin, and the words 'Henry 1' in the right margin of the folio. The end of the tale of King William Rufus and how he was thought of as a wicked man. Red rubrication and an illuminated initial 'A' introduce the tale of King Henry Beauclerc, King William's brother, how he marries Maud, the queen of Scotland's daughter, how his brother Robert Curthose challenges his power, and how he argues with the Archbishop of Canterbury. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

Abbeys also. and eu(er)more dede gret destruc- cioun to holy chirche þorugh wrongful takinges and axinges for no man derste withseyn þat he wolde haue done. and of his luþ(er)nesse he wolde neu(er)e wiþdrawe nother to amende his lyf: and þ(er)fore god wolde suffre him no lengere regne in his wykkednesse. and he had ben kyng . xiiij. ȝere. and .vj. wokes and at Wynchestr(e) he lith Of king Henry Beauclerc. þat was William Rous broþ(er) and of þe debate by tuene him and Robert. Curtose his broþ(er). Capo. vjxx. xvo. And whanne þis Will(ia)m was ded.
