quene of Egelonde in Whitsonday // And þo anon aft(er) þ(e) king of Scotlande þat me callede. Mancolim: bigan to werre and stryue wiþ þe Duk William and he ordeignede him þo toward Scotlond wiþ his men boþe by lande and by see. for to dest(ro)ye þe king Mancolim: but þey were accordede and þe king of. Scot lond Mancolim. bicome his man and helde al his lande of him. and king William resceyuede of him his homage and come aȝene in to Engelond // And whanne king William had ben king .xvij. ȝere. Maude. þe quene deide. on wham king William had geten many faire children. þ(t) is for to seyn Robert Curthose William le Rous. Ric(ard) also þat deide. Henry beauclerc(e) and Maude also. þat was þe Erles wif of Bleynes. and oþ(er)e .iiij. doughtres // And aft(er) his wifes deth: grete debat bigan bituene him and þe king of ff(ra)unce.
