Eleyne. Eleyne. and Key. and Bydewere axede what hire was and wherfore she made so muche sorwe and who lay in þat tumbe // O quod she what sorwe and what mys aventure faire lordes seke ȝe her for ȝif þe Geaunt may ȝow here fynde: ȝe worþe dede a- non // Beþ stille good wif quod þey þ(er)offe dismaye þe nouȝt but telle vs þe sothe why þow makest so muche sorwe and wepynge // Sires quod she for a damisell þat .J. nourisshede wiþ my brest þat me called Eleyne þat was nece to Hoel king of Britaigne and here lith þe body in (to) þis tumbe þat to me was bitaken to norisshe so þ(er)e come a deuel a Geaunt and rauisshede hire and me also and lad vs boþe away.
