Red rubrication and illuminated initial ' A ' introduce the tale of King Andragen. The text ends imperfectly at the bottom of the folio at 'and whanne he'. The written space is c.182 x 112 mm and the script is anglicana formata.

lande with a fewe of Romayns þat were left a lif // And þo Cassibalam wente aȝen to Londou(~) and made a feste vnto al his folc þat þo had him holpe . and whenne þat feste was done : ech man wente in to his owen cuntr(e) Of þe debate þat was bi- tuene Cassibalam and þe Erl of Londou(~) and of þe truage þat [...] was paiede to Rome . Capitulo . xxxvjo. And after it bifel [...] þus oppon a day þat þe gentil men of þe kinges house holde and gentil men of þe Erlis household of Londou(~) after mete wenten in fere for to pleye and þorugh debate þat aros amonges ham Euelyn þat was þe Erlis cosyn of Londou(~) quelde Jrenglas þat was þe kinges cosyn Wherfore þe king swore þat Euelyn shulde ben honged : but þe Erl of Londou(~) þat was Euelynus lord wolde nouȝt soffren it wherfore þe king was wroþ towardes þe Erl and þoughte him destroie and p(ri)ueleche þe Erl sente l(et)res to Julius Cesar þat he shulde come in to þis land for to helpe him and helpe auenge him oppon þe king and he wolde helpe him with al his mighte // And whanne þe Emp(er)o(ur) herde þis tydynge he was ful glad and ordeynede a strong poer and come aȝen þe þridde tyme in to þis lande . and þe Erl of Londone halp him with vij. M(l) men . and at þe þridde tyme was Cassibalam ou(er)come and descomfited and made pees to þe Emp(er)o(ur) for .iij. M(l). pound of siluer ȝeldinge by ȝere for truage for þis lande for eu(er)mor and after half ȝere passede : þe Emp(er)our wente to Rome and þe erl of Londou(~) with hy(~) for he dorste nouȝt abide in þis land and after Cassibalam regnede xvij . ȝer in pees and þo deide þe xxvij ȝer of his regne and lith at York How þe lordes of þe lande after þe deþ of Cassibalam for enchesoun þat he had non heire made Andragen king Capo. xxxvijo.
